Female Rhinoplasty Before & After Photos

There are distinct differences between the ideal male and female nose, and nasal surgery, otherwise known as rhinoplasty, must be performed with this unique anatomy in mind. While there is no perfect shape, and each nose is unique to the facial profile and genetics of the individual, a feminine nose is often considered to be smaller and shorter, with a scooped bridge and upturned nasal tip.

Consultations with Dr. Sedgh

If you are unhappy with the cosmetic appearance of your nose or are experiencing functionality concerns, then female rhinoplasty may be a great option for you. Surgery can help address various concerns or issues, including changes in size, a large dorsal hump, asymmetry, irregular nostrils, sinus concerns, and difficulty breathing.

Rhinoplasty is about bringing attention of the observer directly to the eyes which are the most important factor in facial beauty. This is a great example of how a transformative case can accomplish this. This patient has beautiful eyes and nothing was done to her eyes….however, they are glowing more on the after photos because there is no distraction by the nose anymore.

A common myth in rhinoplasty is that people with thicker skin can not expect good tip definition. WRONG! They just need a different approach with proper grafting techniques. This stunning patient is only six months out from her rhinoplasty. (Meanwhile, she also had a buccal fat pad reduction performed.)

24F 1 year post. This case shows exactly why revision rhinoplasty is so rewarding as a plastic surgeon! This beautiful model had a previous unsuccessful rhinoplasty, which created significant deviations, a poly-beak deformity of the tip and a loss of tip support. I performed a Revision Rhinoplasty using her own rib cartilage. Her after photos are one year post-op. Her nose is perfectly balanced with the rest of her facial features and accentuates the beauty of her eyes even more. (Note: A conservative buccal fat pad reduction was simultaneously performed to improve the jawline definition).

7 Months Post, F 39. Here’s a look at our patient, 7 months after surgery. I focused on reshaping and refining the nose to correct a septonasal deformity, clear up breathing issues, and bring balance to the overall profile. The original shape had a crooked bridge, a dorsal hump, and an asymmetric, bulbous tip that was also overprojected. Now, the nose has a smooth, natural contour and improved symmetry, giving the face a more harmonious look and making it easier to breathe.

5 Months Post, F 25; Five months post-surgery, and the results are looking fantastic. This rhinoplasty addressed the follwing areas: corrected a septonasal deformity, a deviated septum, and a dorsal hump. The nose had a crooked bridge and a boxy, bulbous tip with tip drooping, and underrotation. Now, the nose has a smooth, balanced shape with a refined tip, better rotation, and improved symmetry, all while enhancing breathing and bringing balance to the face.

1 Year Post Op, 24 F. This patient’s revision rhinoplasty with application of rib cartilage corrected a hanging columella, inverted V deformity of the midvault and constriction of her external valves for a balanced, natural look. I also straightened the bridge to address a crooked appearance, creating a more symmetrical profile.

9 Months Post Op, F 26; Here we are, 9 months post-op, and what a transformation. This revision rhinoplasty addressed a major septonasal deformity, including overall loss of structure and suppoprt in the midvault and tip with addressing significant assymmetries and unfavorable contractions due to an unsuccessful first surgery at a different place. The result? A more balanced, refined look with natural projection, and best of all, easier breathing.

8 m Post-op F 50 This patient underwent rhinoplasty to enhance nasal harmony and refine her profile while preserving her natural features. As a Latina, she wanted to maintain her unique ethnic identity while addressing concerns about dorsal asymmetry and tip refinement. The procedure focused on straightening the bridge, refining the tip, and achieving a balanced, proportionate look that complements her facial structure. At 8 months post-op, she is enjoying a beautifully natural result with improved symmetry and definition. Her recovery has progressed smoothly, and she’s thrilled with the refined yet authentic enhancement of her features.

1 Month Post-Op 23. This young female patient presented with a prominent dorsal hump that affected both her profile and overall facial harmony. Our approach focused on reducing the hump, subtly refining the nasal tip, and creating a smoother contour from all angles, while maintaining a soft, natural look that complements her features. The result is a more balanced profile that enhances her confidence without compromising her individuality.

Photographs show real outcomes and are not a guarantee, because every result depends on the anatomy and healing of the individual patient.
